Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union supports nearly 50 million VND for workers burned by boilers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 20, the leaders of the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union visited and encouraged workers who were burned in the boiler explosion at the Vietnam Wood World Joint Stock Company in Nam Cam Industrial Park (Nghi Loc).

Representatives of the Southeast Economic Zone trade union and several companies visited and encouraged Mr. Tran Huu Quang, from Nghi Hung, Nghi Loc, who is being treated at the Provincial General Hospital.

Initially, through the call for support from business leaders and affiliated grassroots unions, the Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union supported 4 seriously injured workers being treated at the Central Burn Hospital with 5.5 million VND/person; 5 workers being treated at Nghe An 115 Hospital and 2 workers who were discharged from the hospital and treated at home with 3.5 million VND/person.

The total amount of support this time is nearly 50 million VND (the Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union alone donated 10 million VND). Previously, on the morning of April 20, a representative of the Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union also directly came to guide the related procedures for the Vietnam Wood World Joint Stock Company to implement the signing of labor contracts and payment of social insurance for workers.

It is known that not only the 11 burned workers but all 170 workers working at The Gioi Go Company who meet the conditions will be covered by social insurance.
