Digital Trade Union: New Vitality - New Motivation
The launch of the "Nghe An Digital Trade Union" application affirms the determination of the Provincial Federation of Labor to bring technology to serve its members; creating a foundation for a smart, flexible, and timely trade union model, with members and workers at its center.

Trade unions are "in the hands" of workers.
Previously, workers who wanted to follow the activities of the Nghe An Provincial Trade Union had to access the website, search on Facebook or Zalo, or wait for information to be sent to the grassroots level. However, since November 21st, everything has become much more convenient. With just a "tap" on their phone, union members can access all the information of the provincial Trade Union through the application.Nghe An Provincial Trade UnionMore than just a new information channel, this application opens up a completely different way for trade unions to accompany workers – more directly, closely, and proactively than ever before. The appearance of the application marks a major turning point: trade unions become a companion present in every phone, every moment of workers' lives. The trade union organization becomes closer, more modern, and more accessible.

From the perspective of grassroots trade union officials – those who directly use the application to carry out their tasks – this change makes a very clear difference. Mr. Phan Dinh Tai, Chairman of the Trade Union of Minh Anh Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company, shared: “Previously, documents sent to the grassroots level were mainly via Zalo, making them easy to miss or difficult to track. Since the implementation of the application, all documents from higher levels are sent directly to the grassroots trade union account, making them clear, organized, and convenient for retrieval. For me and many other trade union officials, this is a step forward that clearly demonstrates the trade union system's determination to innovate, helping professional activities become more systematic and effective.”
From the perspective of the workers – those who directly benefit from the features and applications – the app provides a sense of security and initiative. Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang (Luxshare ICT Nghe An Company) shared that what she cares about most is her rights and information relevant to her working life. “The application's features, such as 'Member Feedback' and 'Member Rights,' have made me feel that the gap between workers and higher-level unions has been narrowed. With just a few clicks, union members can report problems, send inquiries directly to the competent authorities, and receive timely responses. The feeling of 'the union being right at my fingertips' is therefore very clear,” Ms. Giang said.

Furthermore, the regularly updated "Legal Advice" section is a major plus. With numerous practical scenarios, this section acts like a "miniature legal library," helping workers easily access information to protect their legal rights and interests in various specific situations. In addition, the "Job Search" section is worth mentioning – a direct connection between businesses and job seekers. Instead of searching for job openings from multiple sources, workers can access them directly on the app; at the same time, businesses have a quick and accurate channel to find suitable candidates. The practicality of this section further highlights the app's value in supporting people's lives and employment.
In terms of user experience, the application is highly rated for its modern, user-friendly, and easy-to-use interface. Items in the toolbar, such as Home, Congress Information, Announcements, and Overview Menu, are scientifically arranged, making them easy for users to access. The application's homepage compiles news on trade union activities at all levels, information on workers' lives, new features, and important documents. Most notably, the statistical data system with intuitive charts helps users quickly visualize information such as the number of strikes in the year, the quality of collective labor agreements, and the development of union membership and grassroots unions. This data visualization not only makes the application more user-friendly but also demonstrates the professionalism and modernity of the Nghe An Trade Union's approach to digital transformation.

As the person directly in charge of developing the application, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, said: “The idea for the application was conceived in July 2025. The development process went through many steps of consultation, editing, and listening to feedback to perfect the most optimal version. Even though the application has been launched, the development team continues to update and incorporate feedback from union members and workers to further improve it in the future.”
Commitment to digital transformation
Over the years, the Nghe An Provincial Trade Union has continuously strived for innovation, adaptation, and flexibility in its communication work – one of the areas considered the "information flow" that nurtures the spirit of its members. As technology becomes the "heartbeat" of modern life, digital trade unions are no longer an option, but an inevitable trend. Recognizing this role, the Nghe An Provincial Trade Union is proactively transforming itself to keep pace with the new demands of the times.

During the past term, the provincial trade union's propaganda work has made significant progress. The Provincial Federation of Labor, in coordination with the Nghe An Journalists Association, organized the first Journalism Award on the Workers' Movement and Trade Union Activities; Nghe An workers actively participated in online competitions organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and achieved many high awards, demonstrating their technological acumen and increasingly strong spirit of integration. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Provincial Federation of Labor completed the compilation of the book "History of the Workers' Movement and Trade Union Activities in Nghe An Province from 2006-2023", and organized the 2024 Workers' and Employees' Singing Festival; 95 outstanding grassroots trade union officials were commended in Hai Phong and Thai Binh... Along with that, large-scale and widely disseminated sports and cultural activities were organized: the Workers' and Employees' Sports Tournament to celebrate the success of the 19th Provincial Trade Union Congress; participation in the National Workers' Football Tournament and excellently winning first place in the region; organizing the annual Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union Sports Tournament...

Beyond direct events, the image of the Nghe An Trade Union is also widely present in newspapers, social media, and new communication platforms. With thousands of news articles published in newspapers and magazines, and hundreds of videos and clips produced, the trade union officials have demonstrated a strong adaptability in the digital age. Each communication piece is not simply information, but also a way for the Trade Union to "get closer" to its members.workers- Timely, truthful, and highly informative.
In the context of the country entering a comprehensive digital transformation phase, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has issued an action program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. This clearly requires that the Trade Union cannot remain uninvolved. As production models change and technology becomes the "common language" of all fields, innovation is the only way for the Trade Union to continue to effectively support workers.

“It is precisely because of this need that the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor officially introduces the Nghe An Digital Trade Union Application – a comprehensive digital platform that opens up new methods in managing union members, providing trade union services, and enhancing two-way interaction. The application helps trade unions to be faster, closer, and more effective with union members and workers; creating a mechanism for their voices to be heard fully and promptly; and for their rights to be protected quickly, transparently, anytime, anywhere. With the spirit of 'Innovation to lead - Digital transformation to break through - Focusing on union members for sustainable development,' I believe that the Nghe An Digital Trade Union Application will create a new vitality and a new driving force for the entire trade union system from the province to the grassroots,” affirmed Mr. Kha Van Tam, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor.
