(Baonghean.vn) - On July 15, the international community unanimously condemned the attack that killed at least 84 people in France, which French President Francoise Hollande declared an act of terrorism, and expressed sympathy with the French Government and people for these painful losses.

At the opening session of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit on July 15 in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator, leaders of countries and organizations attending the conference unanimously condemned the attack and observed a minute of silence for the unfortunate victims.
European Council (EC) President Donald Tusk said: "Today, all of us, Europe and Asia, stand together with the people and the Government of France. We condemn this tragedy and will not stop fighting against hate and extremist activities." He stressed that today is a sad day not only for France but for the whole of Europe.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expressed his condolences to the French people and stressed that terrorism has no borders and is a common challenge for both Europe and Asia, so the international community needs to join hands to fight this threat.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe strongly condemned the terrorist act that targeted innocent people as unforgivable. Meanwhile, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang expressed deep sympathy for the victims of the attack, while affirming that Beijing opposes all acts of terrorism.
Earlier, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted a statement drafted by France, which “condemned in the strongest terms” the attack, calling it “barbaric and cowardly” and expressing condolences to the families of the victims. The UN Security Council reaffirmed that terrorism is one of the most dangerous threats to international peace and security, and that no act of terrorism can be justified.
Leaders and senior officials from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada also issued statements condemning and strongly opposing the attack. US President Barack Obama affirmed that the United States stands united and shares the pain of the French people. US Secretary of State John Kerry declared his readiness to support France if necessary. Meanwhile, new British Prime Minister Theresa May expressed concern and shock at the attack.
