Controlling the man who caused the accident and fled and then attacked the traffic police
On August 14, the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Province Police said that while patrolling in Quy Nhon Nam Ward, the Traffic Police Patrol Team of Area 1 of the Traffic Police Department controlled a man who caused an accident, fled the scene and resisted law enforcement officers.
According to initial information, at around 7:40 a.m. the same day, the Traffic Police Patrol Team of Area 1 under the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police was patrolling at the Tay Son intersection when it received a report from the people about a traffic collision on National Highway 1D in Quy Nhon Nam Ward.

Upon receiving the news, the task force immediately arrived at the scene. At this time, there was only one motorbike with license plate 77L2-403.03 driven by Ms. Ho Thi Hong Nh (born in 2000, residing in Quy Nhon Bac ward) lying on the road. Through verification, the authorities learned that the man driving the motorbike involved in the accident had driven the vehicle away from the scene.
At this time, Lieutenant Colonel Dao Van Dong, Head of the Traffic Police Patrol Team in Area 1, assigned two traffic police officers to stay behind to protect the scene, while Lieutenant Colonel Dao Van Dong proceeded to verify the incident. At around 7:45 a.m., the authorities received a report from a local resident who discovered the man involved in the accident walking towards the traffic light pole on Hoang Van Thu Street - National Highway 1D, about 200m from the scene of the accident.
Upon receiving the news, Lieutenant Colonel Dao Van Dong drove a special motorbike after the man to ask him to return to the scene to work, but was suddenly attacked by him and his special motorbike was kicked over.
When Lieutenant Colonel Dao Van Dong was attacked, Captain Nguyen Quoc Hoang and Major Tran Van Thi ran to the scene with two officers from the detention center who were working nearby to restrain the man. Then, they informed the Quy Nhon Nam Ward Police to take the man to the headquarters for questioning.
At the police station, the man said his name was Ngo Van Duc (born in 1993, residing in Quy Nhon Nam ward). After the traffic accident, he hid his motorbike in Quy Nhon Martyrs Cemetery and then left.
The working group went to Quy Nhon Martyrs Cemetery and brought the motorbike with license plate 77FB - 3205 related to the traffic accident to the police headquarters for temporary detention to serve the investigation and handling.
