Pandanus leaves are rich in essential oils and contain glycosides and alkaloids, so they have many medicinal uses.

Please do not confuse pandan leaves with aromatic leaves or pineapple leaves because some places also call pineapple.

This is a fragrant leaf that people in the countryside often use to make tea, make cakes or put in sticky rice to make it fragrant. Pandan leaves contain many essential oils and glycosides, alkaloids so they have many uses in medicine, are widely used and very simple to use.

-Nerve weakness:Use 3 pandan leaves, wash and chop. Boil with 3 cups of water until about 2 cups remain. Drink one cup in the morning and one cup at noon.

-Rheumatism:Heat about half a cup of coconut oil over low heat. When the coconut oil is hot, remove the pan from the heat and add about 3 pandan leaves (washed and thinly sliced) to the coconut oil. Stir until cooled and then apply to swollen and painful joints.

-Dandruff treatment:Use 7 pandan leaves, wash and crush them. Add half a cup of water and stir well, squeeze the juice and filter. Use the filtered water to apply to the scalp, let it dry, after an hour apply to the scalp again. Then wash your hair with clean water. Do this every day until the dandruff is gone.

-Cockroach treatment:A very good feature of pandan leaves is that they can be used to repel cockroaches. If you do not want to use commercial cockroach killers that contain many toxic chemicals, you can use pandan leaves by cutting them into 5cm pieces, putting them in a basket and placing them in the kitchen or places where cockroaches often hang out. When the pandan leaves lose their scent, replace them with new ones.
