Self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic announces general election date
TASS news agency reported on September 24 that the self-proclaimed Supreme Council of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNI) announced that DNI will hold presidential and parliamentary elections on November 2.
This decision was passed with a majority of votes.

Earlier the same day, the DNI Supreme Council adopted the law "On the election of the head of the DNI," according to which the candidate for this position must be a citizen of the Republic, a permanent resident of the DNI territory for at least 10 years and no younger than 30 years old.
Candidates must collect at least 1,000 signatures.
The DNI National Assembly also adopted in the first reading the draft law "On the election of deputies to the DNI People's Council."
According to the document, elections for deputies to the People's Council will be held on a proportional system. During the vote, participating parties will need to collect at least 1,000 signatures of support.
Those eligible to vote are all residents of Donetsk region, including the cities that are now under the control of the Kiev government: Slaviansk, Kramators'k, Mariupol and others./.
