Czech Republic tests new drug to treat lung cancer

A press release from Sotio Praha, part of billionaire Petr Kellner's PPF Investment Group, said the company has begun clinical trials of a drug to treat lung cancer.

This is the third drug that Sotio Praha company has researched and developed to fight the incurable disease, after drugs to treat prostate cancer and ovarian cancer.

All three drugs are based on dendritic cells derived from the patient's blood and are part of the patient's immune system.

To be able to be applied in conventional treatment, this new drug must be tested through three more phases./.
