Hybrid Technology - Technology of the Future

The 2013 Japan High-Tech Exhibition at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi) created conditions for Japanese enterprises to display and demonstrate the most advanced technology products.

Participating in the 2013 Japan High-Tech Exhibition, Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) displayed a cross-section model of the Prius hybrid car with the aim of introducing Toyota's Hybrid technology as well as the successful application of this green technology. Prius - the car with the meaning of "ahead of its time" is displayed in the form of a cross-section model, including a 1.8L engine, transmission system, EGR cooling system, electric water pump, air compressor, exhaust pipe heat recovery system, battery and acrylic body - the main parts that help visitors visualize the operation of the hybrid system on the Prius.

In particular, to help visitors better understand Toyota's Hybrid technology such as its development history, successful applications as well as future development plans, Mr. Eiji Yanagida - an expert from Toyota Motor Corporation Japan gave a detailed presentation and shared a lot of interesting information. According to Mr. Eiji Yanagida, modern hybrid technology is the optimal combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor on the same vehicle. Hybrid engines can intelligently store and regulate energy corresponding to each state of the engine, helping to double fuel efficiency and be environmentally friendly. Therefore, Toyota's hybrid technologyToyotahas outstanding advantages such as: fuel economy, low emissions, powerful operation but still ensures smooth movement for the vehicle.

Recently, the GroupToyotalaunched many environmentally friendly car models and were well received by consumers in many countries. From the Prius - the first mass-produced hybrid car in the world in 1997, Toyota has now provided 19 hybrid models and 1 plug-in hybrid model in about 80 countries and territories. With the Prius hybrid model, it demonstrates the determination ofToyotain building a model that sets a global standard for performance and environmental friendliness. From the first generation to the third generation of this model, Toyota has reduced the production cost of the hybrid engine by up to 2/3 and increased the fuel efficiency of this model from 28km/l to 38km/l.

Currently, hybrid vehicle sales account for about 15% of the group's global sales and 40% in the Japanese market; Prius alone has sold 5 million units. It is expected that from now until December 2015,Toyotawill continue to launch about 18 new hybrid models globally.
