Recognition of Nghia Binh commune (Nghia Dan) meeting New Rural standards

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 27, the Party Committee, government and people of Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan district solemnly held a ceremony to receive the commune meeting the National New Rural Standards.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction of Nghe An province, and representatives of provincial departments and branches.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke to acknowledge the efforts of the entire Party Committee and people of the commune.

Established in 1995 under Decree 83/CP of the Government on the basis of the predecessor of the 1/5 State Farm, after 10 years of construction and development, especially after the separation to establish Nghia Dan town (in 2010), Nghia Binh commune has made efforts and excellently completed the set targets. The commune is one of the first two localities of Nghia Dan district to reach the new rural finish line. After more than 3 years of implementation, along with the determination of the entire political system, the consensus and support of the people, the face of Nghia Binh countryside has had positive changes.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates and bonuses to the Party Committee and People of Nghia Binh commune.

From attracting capital from the Central, the province, the district along with the people's contribution, investment has been made to upgrade the infrastructure in the area; the total resources for building the New Rural Area are more than 143 billion VND, of which the people's contribution is nearly 78 billion VND. All 8 hamlets have planned and built cultural houses and hamlet sports areas that meet standards. Along with mobilizing internal resources, the commune also maximizes investment capital, calling on successful children who are working far from home to contribute to building their homeland.

Thanks to the focus on economic development, people's lives have been increasingly improved, with average income per capita in 2014 reaching over 20 million VND; the number of people of working age with regular jobs is 93%. The rate of cultural families is over 74%, 6/8 hamlets are recognized as cultural villages; the political system is maintained, the face of the countryside is improving day by day.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong congratulated and commended the achievements of the Party Committee and people of Nghia Binh, and hoped that the commune would promote the achievements, unite, unify, constantly improve and enhance quality to sustainably develop the achieved criteria, and build an increasingly prosperous commune.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals; the District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the New Rural Construction movement.
