Cong Phuong traveled more than 300 km from Belgium to the Netherlands to meet Van Hau
Two Vietnamese players playing in Europe met each other over the weekend and had dinner to prepare for Christmas.

Cong Phuong traveled more than 300 km from Belgium to the Netherlands to meet his teammates in the national team. The two took a photo on a street in Heerenveen and posted it on Van Hau's personal page. This photo attracted a lot of fans with 183,000 likes and more than 3,600 comments.
In response to Dinh Trong's teasing "is this a collage?", Van Hau posted another photo of him and Cong Phuong having a sumptuous meal at a local restaurant.
The last time the two met was in mid-November, when the national team gathered for the World Cup qualifiers.
Cong Phuong and Van Hau are the only two Vietnamese players currently playing in Europe, both on loan. Cong Phuong moved to STVV in July, while Van Hau moved to SC Heerenveen in early September, on the last day of the transfer window.

The paths of the two Vietnamese players are opposite. Cong Phuong was given the opportunity to play by STVV as soon as he arrived. But from the second match he was allowed to play, when STVV lost 0-6 to Club Brugge, Cong Phuong slowly "disappeared". In the last 15 matches, he was not registered by the coach to play, only playing in the youth team.
Meanwhile, Van Hau spent the first 3 months on the bench for the Dutch team. Only after winning the SEA Games gold medal was he given the opportunity to debut for Heerenveen on December 17. Van Hau is loved by Dutch fans and has received the trust of coach Johnny Jansen. It is likely that the Vietnamese defender will have more opportunities to play, especially in matches in the national championship.
