Cong Phuong scores first goal at Mito Hollyhock
After making his debut for Mito Hollyhock in round 12 of J.League 2, Vietnamese striker Nguyen Cong Phuong scored his first goal in a friendly match against a student team.
Cong Phuong continues to bring good news to Vietnamese fans. After he was on the field for a few minutes in the recent match at J.League 2 to help Mito Hollyhock get 1 point, the striker from Nghe An continued to be trusted by coach Takayuki Nishigaya in a friendly match to prepare for round 13 of J.League 2.
Mito Hollyhock's blue team is Ryutsu Keizai University. Although not a professional team, universities in Japan are always well-trained and have many excellent young strikers.

Despite being rated higher, Mito Hollyhock only had a single goal scored by Hiroki Bandai in the first half. In the second half, the blue team played explosively when scoring 3 more goals into the opponent's net. The scorers were Natsuki Mugikura, Nguyen Cong Phuong and Miyamoto Takuya. Ryutsu Keizai University also managed to score an equalizer before the match ended, setting the score at 4-1 in favor of Mito Hollyhock.
Thus, this is Cong Phuong's first goal for Mito Hollyhock. Although it was only a goal in a friendly match, the goal will certainly help Cong Phuong gain more confidence, and at the same time score points with coach Takayuki Nishigaya to have more opportunities to play in J.League 2.
