Ambassador of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam works with the People's Committee of Nghe An province
(Baonghean) -On the morning of June 11, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee had a meeting and worked with Mr. Oh Nak Young - Ambassador of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.
Also attending were representatives of the Departments of Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College.

At the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Ho Duc Phoc reported to the Ambassador of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam and his colleagues on the socio-economic situation, infrastructure planning, and investment attraction policies of the province. In recent years, Nghe An has had over 300 investment projects in the area, with a total capital of over 100 trillion VND. Currently, Nghe An has 19 ODA projects being implemented, with a total investment of about 180 million USD. Up to now, Korea has 4 projects being implemented: The project to upgrade the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College; the banana planting and export project of Globe Farm Vietnam Co., Ltd. with a scale of 200 hectares implemented in Vien Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, with a total investment of 3 million USD; Haivina Kim Lien garment factory construction project in Nam Giang-Nam Dan industrial cluster, with a total investment of 5 million USD and the leather and textile product manufacturing investment project in Lac Son-Do Luong industrial cluster of KIDO Korea Co., Ltd.
The two sides discussed and agreed on investment cooperation in the coming time. The Ambassador of the Korean Embassy highly appreciated the reception of Nghe An province for the delegation, as well as the province's investment attraction work in the past time. The Ambassador promised to call for more Korean enterprises to invest in Nghe An, with priority given to the fields of agricultural processing, new rural construction, and garment; at the same time, promote the image of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland to the people and Korean enterprises, and organize an introduction of Nghe An's agricultural and seafood products for export to Korea.
On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, comrade Ho Duc Phoc sincerely thanked Korea for its investment interest in Nghe An in the past and hoped that in the coming years Nghe An would receive more attention from Korea in investment cooperation. Nghe An will create the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises when investing in the province.
