Mass mobilization work focuses on resolving pressing issues at the grassroots level.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 9th, the Central Committee's Department of Mass Mobilization held a conference to review mass mobilization work in the first six months of 2015, implement tasks for the last six months of 2015, and simultaneously disseminate Directive 43-CT/T.Ư dated April 15th of the Central Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in addressing the consequences of chemical toxins used by the US during the war in Vietnam.

Attending the conference were comrades: Le Hong Anh - Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Secretary of the Central Committee; Ha Thi Khiet - Secretary of the Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department… At the Nghe An branch were comrades: Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Mass Mobilization Department, along with leaders representing relevant departments and agencies.

In the first six months of 2015, despite many difficulties, the mass mobilization work of the entire political system showed positive changes and achieved many important results. The Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department actively implemented and ensured the progress of the 2015 projects assigned by the Party Central Committee: the project summarizing the five-year implementation of the Politburo's Decision (10th term) "On promulgating the regulations on mass mobilization work of the political system"; summarizing the Politburo's Directive (8th term) on "Building and implementing the Regulations on Democracy at the grassroots level"; and finalizing and submitting to the Party Central Committee for approval the report summarizing the five-year implementation of the Party Central Committee's (10th term) conclusion "On resolving the consequences of chemical toxins used by the US during the war and the work of caring for and assisting victims of Agent Orange; organizing the activities of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam"...

The Central Committee's Department of Mass Mobilization closely coordinates with agencies, departments, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations in the work of propaganda, education, and mobilization of people in localities to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; continues to effectively promote patriotic emulation movements, build and replicate many models and exemplary cases of "skillful mass mobilization," and at the same time carries out many activities of social supervision and criticism, contributing to the building of the Party and government. Mass mobilization work contributes to promoting democracy, strengthening the great national unity and social consensus to successfully achieve the socio-economic, security, and defense goals of the country and each locality.

At the conference, delegates representing the Party's Mass Mobilization Committees of provinces and cities reported on their local mass mobilization work during the first six months of the year and the preparations for the Party Congresses of their respective provinces and cities. Representatives from these localities also identified key tasks for mass mobilization work in the coming period, focusing on implementing projects and directives, addressing pressing issues faced by the people at the grassroots level, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.

In his address to the conference, Comrade Le Hong Anh highly appreciated the strengthening and innovation in the Party's leadership of mass mobilization work in the new situation, and emphasized: The Central Mass Mobilization Department and local authorities need to effectively monitor the people's situation before, during, and after Party congresses at all levels; promptly advise Party committees and authorities to focus on resolving pressing issues of the people at the grassroots level and in each locality. At the same time, the mass mobilization system needs to continue advising Party committees to lead the promotion of propaganda and the thorough understanding of the Party's viewpoints and Ho Chi Minh's thought on mass mobilization work. It is necessary to build a team of capable mass mobilization cadres, strongly oriented towards the grassroots, closely connected to the people and the local area to grasp and synthesize the thoughts, aspirations, and legitimate suggestions and recommendations of all strata of the people, in order to promptly advise Party committees and authorities on timely resolution, especially issues directly related to the lives, jobs, and incomes of the people; to create a high level of consensus in society.

Within the framework of the conference, Comrade Le Hong Anh also disseminated Directive 43-CT/T.Ư dated April 15, 2015, on strengthening the Party's leadership in addressing the consequences of chemical toxins used by the US during the war in Vietnam, with the following key tasks: Strengthening the leadership of Party committees at all levels in addressing the consequences of chemical toxins; Improving the effectiveness of state management and fully implementing policies for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/dioxin; Continuing to campaign for justice for the victims; Strengthening propaganda and mobilization efforts among all segments of the population domestically and internationally to understand the chemical toxin disaster; Consolidating and improving the organization and building a team of cadres for the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
