(Baonghean) -The Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption has sent seven working delegations to a number of provinces, cities, ministries and branches to inspect and supervise the inspection, prosecution, investigation, prosecution and trial of serious and complicated corruption cases of public concern. This has been closely followed by people across the country.

The general tone is excitement, confidence and expectation. Because after a period of implementing Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th Tenure) "Some urgent issues on Party building at present", focusing on the self-criticism and criticism review, initial results have been quite positive. The signs of degradation in political ideology and lifestyle ethics in a significant number of cadres and party members have been clarified and specific remedial measures have been taken.

Along with that, a number of pressing issues of the people have been effectively and practically resolved by all levels, sectors, agencies and localities. However, the results achieved have not really fully met the expectations of the majority of the people because a number of major violations in a number of provinces, cities and sectors, causing extremely serious consequences in many aspects, have not been clarified and specific responsibilities have not been assigned.

Therefore, when knowing that these seven working groups will conduct inspections and supervisions from August 15 to September 30 and the results of the inspections and supervisions will be reported to the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee to submit to the Politburo before November 30. Many people consider this a step to continue to concretize the work set out in Resolution 4 of the Central Committee on Party building, which is to "strengthen inspection, supervision, audit, investigation, prosecution, and trial to improve the effectiveness of the work of preventing and combating corruption and waste. Quickly summarize the comprehensive work of the fight against corruption and waste, practice thrift; supplement and amend the Law on Prevention and Combating Corruption. Perfect and enhance responsibility, improve the effectiveness of the activities of anti-corruption agencies. Strictly try corruption cases, first of all serious, complicated cases that are of public interest".

It is expected that through inspection and supervision, limitations and weaknesses in the inspection of cases, detection, prosecution, investigation, prosecution and trial of cases by competent agencies will be discovered; difficulties and obstacles will be directed to be resolved. Thereby, timely rectification of limitations and weaknesses in the current fight against corruption will be made, strengthening people's trust in the Party and the State.

Putting trust in these seven working groups, but there are still many concerns and worries. Because catching corruption is difficult, dealing with corruption is even more difficult. Because in reality, many working groups have discovered many individuals and organizations with violations when conducting inspections and checks, but when handling them, they are lenient and sentimental in the style of "raising high, hitting lightly", so the handling is not drastic and lacks finality.

Besides, corruption is like a tangled ball of thread linked together through three paths and seven connections from real life to the government apparatus; from the village to the commune, ward, from the ward to the district, then from the district to the province to the Central Government. Therefore, detecting and handling corruption is not easy. Not easy, but not impossible, if the members of the working group work impartially and have enough courage, mettle and cleverness to overcome the "big waves, strong winds" and even the "sweet traps" but extremely dangerous. Only by being impartial can corruption be detected. But if it is detected but only "deeply learned from experience" and not handled decisively, the effectiveness will not be high. "Pulling weeds" must be pulled up by the roots, pulling out everything that is considered "weeds".

Fairness, courage and efficiency are what cadres, party members and people across the country are expecting from the activities of the seven inspection delegations this term.
