Smart RF electronic meter prevents power loss

The University of Electricity has successfully researched and manufactured SmartRF single-phase and three-phase electronic meters, which have outstanding advantages over previously produced single-phase and three-phase electronic meters in many aspects.

This product is the result of the project "Research and production of multi-function electronic meters and remote power measurement systems," which won second prize in the 2010 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Contest in the field of energy saving and new energy use.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dam Xuan Hiep said that SmartRF meter has high accuracy, is not affected by magnetic induction; has the ability to automatically calculate the price according to the installed program; sets up three hourly price tables in a day, has the ability to automatically read parameters remotely, transmit data to the center and store; minimizes negative factors in the work of recording indexes, labor safety and improves customer service quality; fully displays the parameters U, I, P, Q of each separate phase and calculates the total capacity; prevents confusion, electricity theft as well as loss of electricity.

In fact, some companies are assembling electronic meters domestically, but up to now, the entire "hardware design and software program" part is transferred by foreign companies, the domestic part is only assembled in a modular style.

In contrast, SmartRF electronic meters are all researched and designed by staff at the University of Electricity, software programs are written and completely assembled into products. Thanks to that, features such as multiple price lists are programmed intelligently. Time markers can be completely changed through the programming portal if the administrator has access to change.

A feature of SmartRF's multi-tariff feature is that it has many and expandable tariff schedules. Compared to other types of electronic meters manufactured in Vietnam, SmartRF electronic meters are superior in terms of features, which are the two-grid measurement feature with high accuracy and safety (this has been certified by the General Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality); working in a wide range of temperature and humidity; high durability, light weight and beautiful design; convenient in the process of power management.
