We are arranged with thoughtful accommodation and are supported with daily meals that ensure nutrition, all salary and bonus regimes are stable. Here, everyone strictly follows the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health.”

Currently, the Company has more than 280 officers, workers and laborers, arranged into 3 shifts, in which each production period at the factory is arranged with only 2 shifts to ensure safety in epidemic prevention, while maintaining the factory line operating effectively with processing 3,300 tons of sugarcane each day.

Mr. Dao Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company shared: We have arranged 2 shifts, ensuring working distance, ensuring salary and bonus for workers. The characteristic of sugarcane production is that it must be continuous, both saving costs and ensuring new production. This is the first time the Company has implemented accommodation, so the Company has invested in purchasing additional supplies, fully preparing electricity and water, installing Wi-Fi equipment, arranging accommodation for on-site staff and workers. The Company fully supports all of those things.

To supply raw materials for the factory, currently, people in Tan Ky district are focusing on harvesting nearly 3,300 hectares of standing sugarcane, many areas are harvested by machine so the progress is faster, saving costs and labor. Unlike previous years, this year's sugarcane yield is higher than last year, estimated at 64 tons/ha and the sugarcane purchase price is much higher than previous years, so I am excited. The starting price, grade 1 sugarcane in the field, purchased by Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company is 1,050,000 VND/ton.

During the first 10 days of harvest, the Company will support an additional 30,000 VND/ton, or 1,080,000 VND/ton. At this time, sugar prices continue to increase, leading to an increase in sugarcane purchase prices. The Company commits to adjusting prices to be equal to or higher than the raw sugarcane purchase prices of sugarcane companies nationwide.

Mr. Dao Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company added: "We will adjust the price reasonably so that farmers in the raw material area can feel secure in production, both maintaining and expanding the area.

Currently, the total raw material area of ​​the factory is nearly 5,000 hectares, mainly concentrated in Tan Ky and Bac Ninh districts.Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Yen Thanh and Do Luong. This year we plan to plant new raw material areas of 1,900 hectares, so the Company has a policy to support land preparation by machine depending on each cultivation area, which is from 1 million to 7 million VND/ha and support 20 tons of sugarcane sludge/ha for farmers. At the same time, we provide quality sugarcane varieties for farmers".

The factory's attention to the raw material area is the motivation for farmers to return to sugarcane in the context of many crops falling in price and low efficiency. Up to now, the factory has purchased more than 50,000 tons of raw sugarcane from farmers in the raw material area. It is expected that in the 2021-2022 crushing season, the factory will purchase 300,000 tons of sugarcane with a finished sugar output equivalent to about 30,000 tons./.
