Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company: Fast, safe and professional

(Baonghean) - During the past term, the Party Committee of Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company has overcome difficulties, strived to manage and exploit production and business bus stations with high efficiency; constantly improved the material and spiritual life of cadres, workers and employees; and especially improved the quality of travel to regions for the people.

In 2014, the company had a revenue of over 61 billion VND, tax payment of 14.8 billion VND (compared to 2010 revenue of over 30 billion VND, tax payment of 3.481 billion VND); in 2014 profit was over 24.8 billion VND (profit in 2010 was 10 billion VND); average income per capita in 2014 reached 7.5 million VND/month (in 2010 it was 4.4 million VND/month).

Regarding transportation services, the Party Committee coordinates with the Board of Directors and the Board of Management to direct departments and bus stations to regularly inspect and supervise the implementation of State regulations, disseminate and guide the directive documents of the Ministry of Transport, the Vietnam Road Administration, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Transport in the field of passenger transport. Closely coordinate with transport enterprises, bus station enterprises and functional forces to manage vehicles with the aim of serving well the people entering the station to participate in traffic, going to and from regions and areas in and outside the country quickly, conveniently and safely.

Regarding basic construction, during the term, the departments have advised on budget estimates, construction supervision, and acceptance of completed projects: Compensation, clearance, site leveling, construction of fences at Nam Vinh and Bac Vinh bus stations; renovation of the operating house and kiosks for sale and rental to Bong Sen Service; upgrading and major repairs of a number of projects at Vinh bus station, Vinh market bus station, Do Luong bus station, Nghia Dan, Nam Dan, Quy Hop, Tan Ky, Que Phong bus stations... Construction of stations, barriers at the entrance to Vinh bus station; entrance and exit gates at Vinh market bus station.

In particular, the company has invested in using electronic information boards throughout the time the bus station is in operation to ensure information on departure times, arrival times, fares, vehicle types, operating routes, etc. to help passengers travel on time, minimizing errors during peak times. During the past term, the lives of workers have always been stable, each year higher than the previous year, and employee policies and regulations have been resolved quickly and promptly.

The company also fully develops coordination regulations between the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Board of Management and unions in implementing the Grassroots Democracy Regulations; Operation & Management Regulations; Collective Labor Agreement; Code of Conduct... Through dialogues and annual Labor Conferences, the trade union organization upholds the responsibility of representing the collective of workers in exercising their legitimate rights and interests, and policies and regimes for workers.

In order to ensure security and order, the company has directed the security forces at the bus stations to regularly coordinate and cooperate with local security forces and police at all levels to carry out patrol and guard work well. Thanks to that, security and order in production, business, and implementation of the unit's political tasks are always safe and stable. Coordinate with the Fire Police Department to develop fire prevention and fighting plans close to the terrain of each bus station, arrange forces and fire prevention equipment fully and as required. The company also focuses on charity work. In the past 5 years, in addition to contributing to various funds, in 2014 the unit supported the construction of Truong Bon Historical Site with 1 billion VND.

In the work of Party building, the Party Committee regularly pays attention to promptly grasping the ideological developments of cadres and party members through meetings of Party cells, professional organizations, and unions, and promptly resolving arising and outstanding issues. Through political and ideological education, Party members, employees, and workers have raised their awareness, trust in the Party's leadership, and have a high sense of responsibility for the development of the unit. The Party apparatus, professional organizations, and unions have been consolidated and improved, ensuring the quantity and quality suitable to the management and operation model of the enterprise. In the 2010-2015 term, the Party Committee admitted 14 new party members. From 2010-2014, all 3/3 Party cells were always assessed as clean and strong...

During the past term, the Party Committee of the company has drawn lessons such as: Timely grasping the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, to promptly supplement and amend appropriate regulations and rules. Building action programs, launching emulation movements close to the unit's reality, promoting the collective role in the shareholders' meeting, workers' conference, setting out the right direction, goals, and practical measures. Always building and attaching importance to internal solidarity, taking ideology as the root, on the basis of well implementing the grassroots democracy regulations, collective labor agreements, creating a combined strength in direction and implementation, especially for the head and the team of leaders of the unit. Regularly drawing on experience, strengthening inspection and supervision after implementing resolutions and action programs, correcting deviations and limitations of cadres and party members, promptly resolving complaints and denunciations of violations.

The development direction for the new term is: Enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, promote democracy, internal solidarity, focus the intelligence of cadres and Party members to lead the company to produce and do business effectively; ensure jobs, life and policies for employees, seriously and fully perform obligations to the State. Strive to maintain the title of a typical clean and strong Party Committee, professional and excellent strong unions, ensure the company's continuous, stable and sustainable development.
