Trung Do Joint Stock Company gives gifts to poor households in Dong Van commune (Que Phong)

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 29, 2015, at Pieng Van village, Dong Van commune, Que Phong district, Trung Do Joint Stock Company organized a gift giving ceremony for extremely poor households in Dong Van commune.

The total number of gifts donated by Trung Do Joint Stock Company this time is 50 million VND, divided into 100 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to give to poor households.

Dong Van is a remote commune under the 135 program, 30 km from the center of Que Phong district. The commune consists of 3 ethnic groups (Kinh, Thai, Kho Mu) with 716 households living in 10 villages. In recent years, despite many efforts in economic development, the rate of poor and near-poor households still accounts for 48%, including 276 poor households and 72 near-poor households.

Witnessing the gift-giving ceremony, representatives of the Fatherland Front Committee of Que Phong district and the Party Committee and People's Committee of Dong Van commune sincerely thanked Trung Do Joint Stock Company for its attention and support in taking care of the poor in the commune; and pledged to encourage people to strive to escape poverty./.
