Sygenta Company has compensated farmers for the loss of NK 6654 corn variety in Linh Son commune (Anh Son).

On the afternoon of August 11, Mr. Nguyen An Hoang, representative of Sygenta Company (seed production company), Mr. Nguyen Trung Duong (Bac Giang Agricultural Materials Company - seed distributor) and the district's Agriculture Department, the Commune People's Committee, the Commune Agriculture Board and households of Linh Son commune discussed and agreed that Sygenta Company must compensate for damages to 40 households producing NK 6654 corn seed in the spring crop of 2011. The compensation level agreed upon by the parties was 500,000 VND/sao, a total of 30,000,000 VND/3 ha. The Company has already handed over cash to the people of Linh Son commune on the afternoon of August 11, 2011.
