Ban Ve Hydropower Company grants funding to support boarding schools in Tuong Duong
(Baonghean.vn) - Joining hands to help poor students in extremely difficult areas of Tuong Duong district amid the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Ban Ve Hydropower Company has taken many practical actions such as giving gifts and supporting the purchase of school facilities.
Huu Khuong Primary School currently has 293 students with 17 classes. In addition to the main school in Pung Bon village, there are 3 satellite schools including San, Cha Lang and Tung Hoc villages with 11 classes. Of which, at the main school, there are 106 students who live far from home and have very difficult circumstances and have to stay in the boarding school. Currently, they are staying in a wooden boarding house temporarily built by teachers and parents. However, there are no beds yet, so for a long time, the students have had to use planks to sleep temporarily.

Understanding the difficult circumstances of the students, during this period,Ban Ve Hydropower Companydonated 50 bunk beds to Huu Khuong Primary School; 24 to Mai Son Primary School, with a total value of 150 million VND. This is a practical activity, creating living and studying conditions for students in remote areas, creating motivation to encourage the spirit of overcoming difficulties in studying.
At the ceremony, the leaders of Tuong Duong district also acknowledged the positive contributions over the past time as well as the timely support of Ban Ve Hydropower Company in the unit's social security work for the locality. At the same time, they hoped that the Company would make efforts to overcome the difficulties caused by the epidemic, continue to stabilize production and business effectively, and continue to accompany the district in community activities.

Previously, accompanying the province in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, Ban Ve Hydropower Company also donated 300 million VND to the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province. It is known that this is the third support of Ban Ve Hydropower Company since the outbreak of the epidemic, with a total amount of 455 million VND.
Ban Ve Hydropower Plant is managed by Ban Ve Hydropower Company - the largest hydropower plant in the North Central region, built on Nam Non River, Yen Na Commune, Tuong Duong District, with a dam height of 135m, normal water level of 200m, flood prevention capacity of 320 million m3.
This is a multi-purpose hydroelectric project, not only providing electricity at low cost and safely, Ban Ve Hydroelectric Plant also plays a role in controlling, reducing floods, preventing drought, providing domestic water and irrigation water for agricultural production in downstream areas.
