Earlier, on November 6, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, Igor Bozhok, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, announced that Kiev intends to submit to the UN General Assembly a draft resolution "On the militarization of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the regions of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov". The main goal of this draft is to force Russia to withdraw all armed forces from the Crimean peninsula and end the "temporary occupation".
Responding to this statement, Dmitry Belik - Deputy Chairman of the State Duma in Sevastopol said: "The Crimean Revolution - a traditional New Year's Eve party in Brussels has been maintained for 4 years now. Every year in December, European diplomats unanimously support resolutions against Crimea. The reason is not that Crimea violates human rights, but simply that such a policy exists.
As a result, last year the General Assembly Budget Committee refused to allocate funds for the implementation of the “resolution against Crimea”. Or in other words, it seems that European politicians have changed their minds about Ukraine’s efforts to propose a resolution?!”.

Sevastopol officials stressed that Crimea is ready to pay for plane tickets if European politicians decide to take the time to visit the peninsula to properly assess and assess the situation.
"How wonderful it would be if the representatives of the United Nations came to Sevastopol on November 4 - National Unity Day, in the central square of Crimea, the representatives would witness the cultural and culinary festival of the Crimean residents. All activities depict the life of Sevastopol, the hero city of Russia, things that Ukrainian or European politicians will never realize, if they do not witness it with their own eyes" - Mr. Dmitry Belik said.
The Sevastopol MP added that Ukraine's annual submission of a resolution against Crimea reflects the goals pursued by the Kiev government. However, according to Dmitry Belik, "maintaining friendship with Russia is beneficial for Ukraine", although for a long time the interests of the Crimean people have not been a top priority for the Kiev elite.
The Crimea resolution proposed by Ukraine was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 17, 2018, condemning human rights violations on the territory of Crimea, as well as establishing Russia's illegal jurisdiction and administration there.
However, the General Assembly's Budget Committee refused to allocate funds for the implementation of this resolution.
