Crimea explains why US reconnaissance aircraft appeared on the border
The reason why US Air Force planes have increased their intelligence activities along the Crimean coast is because they are concerned about Russia's growing role in the international arena, according to Vladimir Bobkov, Deputy Speaker of the Crimean Parliament.
According to PlaneRadar monitoring data, on January 30, several US reconnaissance aircraft were detected off the coast of Crimea. These aircraft circled Russia's southern border several times. In total, the reconnaissance flight lasted about 8 hours.

Mr. Bobkov emphasized that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the reconnaissance activities of Western countries on the Russian border did not reach such a positive level, because they were satisfied with the current situation.
"Recently, Crimea and the Baltic region have become areas of special attention for Western intelligence agencies. It is understood that today Russia significantly influences the course of international events, so reconnaissance services are increasingly being strengthened."
"The reconnaissance forces work to find out everything, because they know very well that Russia today is a pioneering country in the military sphere," Bobkov told Sputnik.
