Crimea states the reason why US reconnaissance planes frequently appear near the peninsula
The increasingly frequent appearance of US reconnaissance aircraft and drones in the area near the Crimean border is related to monitoring the state of the peninsula's military infrastructure, Crimean parliament deputy Vladislav Ganzhara said.

Earlier, a Russian Su-27 fighter jet intercepted a US P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft as it approached Russia's national border over the Black Sea.
The Defense Ministry noted that the Su-27 flight was conducted in accordance with international regulations on the use of airspace. After the US anti-submarine aircraft changed its flight path, the Su-27 returned to its home airport.
"Regular reconnaissance flights by US drones and other reconnaissance means are primarily aimed at monitoring the state of the peninsula's military infrastructure," Ganzhara told Sputnik.
According to him, the entire complex of weapons deployed in Crimea over the past five years, from air defense systems to coastal defense systems, allows us to say that from a security point of view, the Crimea region can absolutely calmly face any threats.
The Boeing P-8 Poseidon is an anti-submarine patrol aircraft designed to detect and destroy enemy submarines in patrol areas, as well as for reconnaissance purposes, participating in anti-ship and rescue operations.
