Hung Nguyen Traffic Police arrested a passenger bus transporting goods of unknown origin.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of January 9, 2013, Major Nguyen Van Hung - Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Hung Nguyen District Police (Nghe An) said that at 9:45 a.m. on January 9, 2013, at km16, National Highway 1A, Vinh City bypass - Hung Nguyen Traffic Police Team received a report from the people that a passenger bus from the South was traveling to the North carrying foreign wine, wild animals, etc.
Upon receiving the news, the Hung Nguyen District Traffic Police task force deployed forces and discovered a passenger bus with license plate 34L - 2096 showing suspicious signs and immediately signaled it to stop for inspection.
Through inspection and search of the vehicle, Hung Nguyen Traffic Police discovered 18 cases of Black brand foreign wine, more than 200 packages of powdered drugs from Korea (unclear what kind of drugs) and 12 wild animals contained in 4 Styrofoam boxes, cleaned and iced. However, these wild animals had a foul smell when inspected. At the time of inspection, the driver could not present any related documents or invoices for all of the above goods. The total value of the goods was about 50-60 million VND.
The wild animals were rotting.
At the investigation agency, driver Cao Minh Hoang (born in 1980), residing in Thach Khoi, Gia Loc, Hai Duong, confessed to transporting the above goods from Dong Nai (wild animals) and Quang Tri (wine) to his hometown to serve the wedding. The Hung Nguyen district police in coordination with forest rangers are determining the species of the above wild animals.
The case is currently being further investigated by Hung Nguyen District Police.
