75 year old woman found 6 million VND and returned it to the owner

On the morning of August 7, she contacted the person who lost it and returned the money and documents.

Ms. Dao Thi Niem recounted: at 6:00 p.m. on August 6, she was returning home from Hamlet 6, Dien Lam Commune, Dien Chau District when she discovered a black wallet on the road. She stopped to pick up the wallet and returned home.

When she got home, she gave the wallet to her nephew, Ho Ba Hoan (17 years old), to check and discovered that there was 6 million VND in cash (12 500,000 VND polymer bills) and documents all under the name of Bui Quoc Hung, residing in Hamlet 2, Quynh Lam Commune, Quynh Luu District (Nghe An).

Mrs. Dao Thi Niem returned the money she found to Mr. Bui Quoc Hung.

After discovering a large sum of money and many documents in the wallet, she told Hoan to go to the house of the person who lost the wallet to inform them. When Hoan went to Hung's house, Hung was still on his way to find the wallet.

On the morning of August 7, Mr. Hung went to Mrs. Niem's ​​house to ask for the wallet and documents back. Moved by Mrs. Niem's ​​good deed, Mr. Hung expressed: "I am very grateful and touched by Mrs. Niem's ​​good deed. Luckily, without her, I would have lost a lot of important documents. If I had to redo the documents, it would have taken a lot of time. Although she is old and weak and in difficult circumstances, when she found the lost property, she immediately informed my family to return it."

Although she is 75 years old, Dao Thi Niem still sells fish cakes at the market every day. She currently lives with her 17-year-old nephew.
