90-year-old woman suddenly comes back to life after '5 hours of being dead'

A 90-year-old woman unexpectedly came back to life 5 hours after her "last breath" and is now healthier and more flexible than before.

On the morning of December 10, many neighbors still came to visit and congratulate the health of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phan (commonly known as Man, nearly 90 years old, Phong Ngu Tay village, Dien Thang Nam commune, Dien Ban, Quang Nam) after she suddenly came back to life while her family was preparing for her funeral.

When we contacted him, Mr. Phan was healthy, able to walk and exercise indoors normally. However, he could only answer simple questions, and when asked more questions, he appeared a bit confused.

Mr. Phan is now healthier than before, living happily with his children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoa (Mr. Phan's eldest daughter-in-law) recounted that a week ago, Mr. Phan fell and his health gradually weakened. On December 6, Mr. Phan fell into a state of clinical death. Everyone thought he would not survive, so they began preparing for his funeral.

“When my mother was sick, I was feeding her when she told me to eat quickly so she could go because many people (the deceased - PV) were waiting for her to go together. At around 6pm on December 6, my mother's hands and feet were cold, her bones were stiff and she couldn't move. At around 8pm, her blood pressure dropped sharply, her pulse slowed, her face was pale, her tongue was retracted, and only the whites of her eyes were visible. From then on, my mother stopped breathing for about 2 minutes and then breathed lightly again until 7am the next morning when she suddenly woke up,” Ms. Hoa shared.

Ms. Hoa added that the family had carefully prepared for the funeral. Everyone also frantically called relatives and children living far away to return home to mourn. But the sudden return of the old man to life made the children and grandchildren very surprised, joyful and happy.

Mr. Trong (Mr. Phan's son) shared: "In the past, my mother often had difficulty walking with a hunched back, but when she woke up, she could walk with a straight back and her arms and legs were more flexible. Now she is quite alert but can only answer simple questions, and when asked longer questions, she starts to speak unclearly."

Mr. Ha Hieu (Head of Phong Ngu Tay village) said: "Everyone in the locality and village had prepared to take him to his final resting place. Then he suddenly "returned from the dead", making everyone very surprised, moved and happy, wishing him peace, more and more health and a happy life with his children and grandchildren."
