Mr. Le Van Dap is excited before going to vote for the 14th time.

"I received an invitation from the Neighborhood Leader and the Party Secretary to come to the early voting area tomorrow to represent the elderly in casting their first ballot. Being honored like this, I must prepare carefully to fulfill my civic responsibilities well," said Mr. Dap.

Mr. Le Van Dap was born in 1922, from Quang Ngai, currently living in Room 505, Building E5, Thanh Xuan Bac Collective, Hanoi. He is a revolutionary veteran with nearly 80 years of Party membership, this year he turns 94 but he is still healthy.

Mr. Dap said that at the General Election to elect the first National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1946, he had the honor of holding a ballot for the first time to exercise his right to be the master. Talking about the memories of 70 years ago, Mr. Dap could not hide his emotion.

"From the status of a citizen of an enslaved nation, when holding the ballot to choose representatives for myself, the feeling at that time was so joyful, it is hard to describe. The feeling of that day comes back every time I have the opportunity to vote like this" - Mr. Dap confided.

Mr. Dap mentally calculated: After voting tomorrow, he will have a total of 14 times to vote for National Assembly deputies.

Mr. Dap said that since the day the Thanh Xuan Bac Ward Election Committee sent him a summary of the resumes of the candidates running for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, he has spent time carefully studying the characteristics and abilities of each person, with the hope of choosing a representative person.

"I hope that I and the voters will choose representatives who have ideals, are dedicated to their work, and more importantly, have a voice and take decisive action on pressing social issues."
