Voters in Ky Son propose to soon build and pass the Ethnic Law
(Baonghean.vn) – Quickly build and pass the Ethnic Law to affirm the position and role of ethnic minorities - that is the recommendation of voters of Ky Son district to the National Assembly Deputies.
Implementing the program of meeting voters after the 3rd Session of the 14th National Assembly, on the morning of June 26, in Muong Long commune (Ky Son), National Assembly deputies: Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department had a meeting with local voters. Attending were representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and leaders of Ky Son district. |

From May 22 to June 21, the 3rd Session of the 14th National Assembly successfully concluded, completing the proposed program with many important contents on legislative work, deciding on important issues of the country and supreme supervision. The National Assembly spent time reviewing and approving 12 laws, 12 resolutions and giving opinions on 6 draft laws.

At the same time, consider and decide on important issues such as approving the state budget; separating the content of land recovery, support, and resettlement of the Long Thanh International Airport Project into component projects and some personnel work. Regarding supreme supervision, the National Assembly considers reports of agencies in the State apparatus; thematic supervision; the National Assembly's supervisory program in 2018 and answers questions from delegates.

At the conference, voters expressed their high agreement with the planned agenda of the recent session of the 14th National Assembly, and at the same time made specific recommendations on a number of issues that received much attention in the area.
Voters of Muong Long commune focused on recommending the Party, State, National Assembly and Government to pay attention to investing in building infrastructure to serve economic development, meeting people's living standards such as electricity, roads, schools, stations, cultural houses. Pay more attention to health insurance policies for people in remote areas, adjust medicine prices to suit the living standards of the poor. Determined to push back drugs and other social evils, ensure security and order so that people can feel more secure in doing business and living.
Voter Va Phai Tenh (Trung Tam village) reflected that the life of retired cadres in the village is still difficult, due to low salaries. Therefore, he proposed that the government increase salaries to ensure the living standards of this group. Voter Va Cha Xa (also in Trung Tam village) said that in recent years, the number of students dropping out of school in the area has increased, due to many reasons, both subjective and objective. He suggested that relevant departments and agencies investigate and find appropriate solutions to overcome this problem.

In addition, some voters proposed additional issues directly related to life and socio-economic development such as implementing the policy of training and exporting labor, aiming at the goal of sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction; interest rates on loans and support for the poor in production are still high, making it difficult for people to access; along with that, the allowance level for teachers in disadvantaged areas is still low, not commensurate, and needs to be adjusted to increase.
Voters also recommended giving more priority in the examination and recruitment of commune-level civil servants to children of local people, ensuring fairness and reasonableness. At the same time, speed up the planning and determination of administrative boundaries of the Medicinal Zone to facilitate people in cultivating fields. Voters recommended the early development of the Ethnic Law and the inclusion of the position of Deputy Chief of Commune Police in the payroll.

On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation, Comrade Nguyen Huu Cau acknowledged and accepted the opinions of voters and issues under local authority. He requested representatives of the district leaders, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Social Policy Bank of Ky Son district to explain.
Regarding issues under the authority of National Assembly deputies such as: building and approving the Ethnic Law, staffing for the communal police force, and lowering the subsidy age for the elderly, comrade Nguyen Huu Cau explained in detail and promised to ask relevant ministries and branches to consider and submit them to the National Assembly for resolution.
