Thanh Chuong voters recommend policies to support the lives of fishing villagers.
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters of Thanh Mai commune (Thanh Chuong district) proposed that the province should have mechanisms and policies to support the lives of households in the Song Lam fishing village who make a living on the river and do not have stable housing and have difficult lives.
The competent authority responded to this issue as follows:
Regarding the policy to support the livelihood of households in the fishing village of Song Lam: Implement Decision No. 193/2006/QD-TTg dated August 24, 2016 of the Prime Minister (now Decision No. 1776/QD-TTg dated November 21, 2012 of the Prime Minister) on approving the program of population resettlement in areas of natural disasters, special difficulties, borders, islands, free migration, and special-use forests.

On December 2, 2009, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 6379/QD-UBND-NN approving the investment sub-project: Building model settlement areas for fishing households on Lam River and the particularly difficult area of Thanh Chuong district.
Accordingly, when the project is completed, 165 households from fishing villages and extremely disadvantaged areas in Thanh Chuong district will be relocated to resettlement areas in Khe Mu area, Thanh Thuy commune and Trieu Duong area, Thanh Lam commune.

Up to now, the project has completed the resettlement area of Trieu Duong and handed it over to Thanh Lam Commune People's Committee for review, selection and relocation of households.
In Khe Mu point, Thanh Thuy commune, there are currently some unfinished construction items such as kindergarten, cultural house, electricity lines, drainage system and the funding source is still short of the approved decision of 15 billion 700 million VND. According to the Government's regulations, the central budget has been allocated enough for the project, so the remaining amount is allocated by the provincial budget.
