Tuong Duong voters recommend solutions to strengthen forest protection
(Baonghean.vn) - That is one of the contents that voters of Hoa Binh town, Tuong Duong district proposed to National Assembly delegates at the voter contact conference on the afternoon of December 5.
Hoa Binh town is the economic, political, cultural and social center of Tuong Duong district, consisting of 6 blocks with 927 households, 3,578 people, and 5 ethnic groups living together (Kinh, Thai, Kho Mu, Tay Poong, Tho). The town's residents are mainly civil servants, public employees; traders, service providers and a few work in agriculture, forestry and fishery.
After listening to the National Assembly delegates announce the results of the content and program of the 6th session of the 14th National Assembly, voters of Hoa Binh town frankly made recommendations on issues of concern.

Voter Luong Kham Nien (Hoa Tay block) suggested that hydropower plants need to have an automatic warning system so that people can proactively prevent incidents when they occur, and at the same time, they must inform people so that they clearly understand the flood discharge process, limiting damage when there is rain and flood.

Voter Nguyen Cong Nguyen (Hoa Tan block) reported that many sections of National Highway 7A have collapsed and eroded because the canal system is not guaranteed, not maintained and repaired, especially flooded during storms. Therefore, voters recommend that all levels and sectors pay attention and take measures to promptly overcome and handle the situation.

Voter Tran Dai Vong (Hoa Tan block) is concerned about the current situation of deforestation in the area, which is at high risk, while the reforestation of bare hills is still limited. Accordingly, the voter suggested that the National Assembly should have practical solutions to propagate and mobilize the masses to strengthen forest protection and limit deforestation.
In addition, voters of Hoa Binh town reflected on issues related to land management; policies and regimes for people with revolutionary contributions; compensation for households affected by recent hydropower plant flood discharges; increasing local television broadcasting time for people to grasp information...

At the conference, voters' recommendations were explained by the leaders of Tuong Duong district and comrade Le Quang Huy - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, clarifying issues within their jurisdiction. At the same time, other opinions of voters will be received and synthesized by the provincial National Assembly Delegation to be sent to relevant ministries, branches and agencies for early resolution and response to voters.
