Cua Lo exploited more than 6,200 tons of seafood

(Baonghean.vn) - Cua Lo currently has nearly 270 fishing boats and seafood exploitation vessels, attracting about 1,500 local workers to participate.

Since the beginning of the year, local authorities and fishermen have actively innovated fishing methods, arranged many jobs on one boat, maintained teams to help each other at sea, and taken measures to promote the development of fishing logistics, creating a closed loop to help fishermen feel secure in their fishing grounds, increase trips to sea, and reduce unnecessary costs.

Therefore, in the first 6 months of 2016, Cua Lo fishermen exploited more than 6,200 tons of various seafood, with an estimated value of nearly 60 billion VND, of which fish reached more than 4,000 tons, shrimp of all kinds: 200 tons, squid: 200 tons, and other seafood reached 700 tons.

Currently, Farmers' Associations at all levels are focusing on propagating and mobilizing fishermen to effectively catch fish in the southern season and launch fishing in the northern season.

Cua Lo town also successfully launched Tuan Tu ship built according to Decree 67/CP by fisherman Hoang Van Hoa in Nghi Thuy ward.
