Civil Aviation Authority asks airlines to study ticket price reduction

Airlines need to increase the application of many low fares and promotions in line with fuel price reductions.

Recently, the continuous decrease in gasoline and oil prices has had a positive impact on the transportation market in general and the air transport market in particular.

Faced with this situation, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has sent a dispatch to domestic airlines including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Jestar Pacific to increase the application of many low fares and promotional programs.

Accordingly, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires domestic airlines to research and develop plans to reduce prices, sell many types of low-priced tickets, and create more favorable conditions for more people to participate in air transportation.

Besides, airlines need to develop and introduce more promotional programs and special fares to attract passengers to use air transport services.

The official dispatch of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also requires airlines to implement this official dispatch and report to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam before January 10, 2016.

Previously, in 2015, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam adjusted the maximum price for domestic economy class passenger transportation services. Vietnamese airlines have declared and applied many low prices on domestic flights, and at the same time launched many promotional programs with special ticket prices, some of which are free tickets for customers./.
