The Lao People's Army's Department of Operations visited and worked at Division 324
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 24, a delegation of officers from the Lao People's Army's Department of Operations led by Colonel Xon Thoong Keo Lo Kham - Director of the Lao People's Army's Department of Operations visited and worked at Division 324. Accompanying the delegation was Major General Ha Tho Binh - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4.
At the meeting, Colonel Hoang Van Thiet - Deputy Division Commander informed the delegation about some traditional features and results of the unit's recent mission implementation.

Division 324 is the main unit with full force of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 4, established on July 1, 1955, in Trieu Duong commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province. On the journey of building, fighting and growing, the Division has stood shoulder to shoulder with the soldiers and people of Lao ethnic groups in the process of protecting and building the country.
In recognition of the great contributions of the Division's officers and soldiers, the Party and State of Vietnam twice honored the unit with the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, awarded 1 Ho Chi Minh Order, 7 Military Exploit Orders; and was awarded 3 First Class Itsal Orders by the Lao Party and State. The Division has 15 collectives and 12 individuals honored as Heroes of the People's Armed Forces.
Since 2012, Division 324 and Division 1 of the Lao People's Army have resumed their twinning relationship. Over the past 6 years, the two Divisions have periodically signed a Memorandum of Understanding; at the same time, Division 324 has helped Division 1 of the Lao People's Army build a physical training ground with a total cost of 471 million VND, and organized 3 training courses for squad-level officers for Division 1 of the Lao People's Army at Division 324.
In the coming time, the two Divisions will promote tradition, continue to build solidarity and loyalty between the two units, as well as between the two Parties, two States, two Armies and two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
