Impressive numbers

During the 2015 - 2020 term, under the leadership of the Party Executive Committee of the unit, the results of the implementation of the budget collection task of the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department every year always reached and exceeded the estimate assigned by the Central and the province, the revenue of the following year was higher than the previous year (an average increase of 12.5% ​​per year). Specifically: In 2015, it reached 8,047 billion VND, equal to 120% of the Central estimate, equal to 117% of the Provincial People's Council estimate and increased by 22% over the same period; in 2016, it reached 9,872 billion VND, up 23% over the same period; in 2017, it reached 11,208 billion VND; in 2018, it reached 12,217 billion VND, up 9% over the same period; in 2019, it reached 14,693 billion VND, equal to 135% of the Central estimate, up 20% over the same period. Domestic revenue in 2019 increased by 83% compared to 2015. The ratio of collectible tax debt to total state budget revenue in the area in 2015 was 6.1%, and in 2019 it was 3.5%.

For many consecutive years, Nghe An Provincial Tax Department has been evaluated as the leading unit in the province in implementing administrative reform well. In 2016, eFinance Magazine - Department of Informatics and Financial Statistics (Ministry of Finance) ranked Nghe An Provincial Tax Department first out of 63 Tax Departments nationwide in terms of readiness for developing and applying information technology; won first prize in the contest "Joining hands to reform administrative procedures" organized by Nghe An Provincial Civil Servants' Union.

Currently, Nghe An Provincial Tax Department is publicly posting 100% of the tax administrative procedures at the Department and Branch levels on the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department's website (http://nghena.gdt.gov.vn).

Removing difficulties for businesses

Comrade Trinh Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary, Director of Nghe An Provincial Tax Department said: The important task now is to work with sectors and levels to focus on removing difficulties for businesses, focusing on administrative reform, minimizing tax administrative procedures, applying information technology to tax administrative reform in online tax payment, online tax declaration, tax refund, electronic invoices. In addition, promoting dialogues, disseminating policies, implementing weeks of accompanying taxpayers. By the end of July 2020, the Tax Department had received 2,616 applications for tax extension under Decree 41 with the proposed tax extension amount of more than 750 billion VND for businesses.

Administrative reform is the top priority task of the Tax sector in the 2015-2020 period, aiming to build the tax system into one of the effective and efficient macroeconomic management tools of the Party and State.

In order to achieve the tax administrative reform goal approved by the Ministry of Finance, in recent years, Nghe An Tax Department has promoted and simplified tax administrative procedures, implemented a mechanism to connect tax administrative procedures with a number of other related administrative procedures, in order to facilitate and reduce the time for carrying out business registration and tax declaration procedures for businesses and people. Applying forms of propaganda and support for taxpayers suitable for each group of taxpayers; developing and deploying a variety of services to support taxpayers in carrying out tax administrative procedures; focusing on providing electronic tax services for taxpayers.
