Emulation cluster of the Labor Federation of the North Central provinces summarizes the first 6 months of the year

Determining the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees is the top priority.union levels6 provinces have deployed many solutions. Specifically, the units have consulted, commented, and proposed policies and guidelines related to workers; and paid attention to improving the quality of negotiation, signing, and implementation of collective labor agreements in enterprises.

In the first 6 months of the year, local trade unions negotiated and signed 111 Collective Labor Agreements, achieving 69.38% of the assigned targets (led by Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa).,increasing the total number of units that have signed collective labor agreements to 1,850 units; coordinating with relevant departments and agencies to organize inspections of the implementation of labor law and salary policies at 299 units and enterprises.

In the first 6 months of 2021, trade unions at all levels in 6 provinces supported the construction and repair of 285 "Union Shelters" and presented 325,262 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, worth 269.4 billion VND.

Responding to the call of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to contribute to the Vaccine FundCovid-19 prevention, trade unions at all levels have mobilized support through text messages and salary days; donated more than 150,000 medical masks, 30,000 splash shields; supported food, necessities and participated in serving in quarantine areas with a total value of over 80 billion VND...

Programme"Welfare of union members and workers"continued to be effectively implemented with 215 agreements, creating conditions for over 450,000 union members and employees to enjoy preferential policies, with an amount of nearly 50 billion VND/year, of which in the first 6 months of 2021, 47 agreements were negotiated and signed to provide preferential services.

Regarding propaganda and education activities for union members and workers, trade unions at all levels have been resolutely deployed and achieved good results in all four key contents: Thoroughly grasping the guidelines and policies of the Party and State; Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels; Disseminating policies and regimes for union members and workers; promoting propaganda activities towards the 135th anniversary of International Labor Day on May 1 and the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; strengthening propaganda work on Covid-19 epidemic prevention.

In particular, Nghe An Labor Federation leads the country in the "Program of 75 thousand initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop". Through emulation movements, many collectives and individuals have been awarded noble awards for their achievements in trade union activities.

MANY GOOD WAYS NEED TO BE PROMOTED

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation Kha Van Tam shared experiences incprogram consultantCoordination of work between the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Nghe An Provincial Party CommitteeAccordingly, Nghe An is the first provincial unit nationwide to sign this coordination program and Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor has spent more than 1 year researching and preparing content to advise on this program. From 5 groups of content for coordination activities between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor has and will continue to work with the Party Committees of districts, cities and towns in the coming time.

Also in his sharing, the Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized the role of propaganda work in trade union activities and shared many creative and effective methods that the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor is applying.

At the conference, representatives of the units exchanged experiences in financial work, taking care of workers' lives, improving the effectiveness of propaganda work, and preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic...

In addition, the units also pointed out difficulties and obstacles in the process of operation. From the above difficulties, representatives of the units also made many recommendations to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on issues related to institutions, personnel work, propaganda and education work, regulations on the management of cultural houses and vocational schools; emulation and rewards, policies and regulations for employees in enterprises...
