Vinh examination cluster: Deploying the second round of university entrance exam supervision

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 7, the 2013 University Admissions Council of Vinh examination cluster held a conference to deploy the second round of exam supervision. Attending the conference were representatives of 39 universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with candidates taking the exam at Vinh examination cluster, along with related departments and branches. Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa, Chairman of the Vinh examination cluster's inter-university council chaired the conference.

In the second round of the 2013 university entrance exam at Vinh examination cluster, there were 25,753 candidates registered for the 5 exam groups: B, C, D, T, M. Of which, the number of candidates registered for Vinh University was 11,734; for 28 universities in Hanoi was 10,143 and 11 universities in Ho Chi Minh City was 3,876. Vinh examination cluster arranged 759 examination rooms, established 6 examination clusters, 3 affiliated locations, 40 examination locations (14 locations less than the first round); mobilized 2,124 staff to serve the examination invigilation work. At the conference, the Council announced decisions such as: establishing the Council, establishing the inspection and supervision team; and at the same time, agreed on a number of points for the whole examination cluster: meeting to receive facilities; receiving exam questions, receiving stationery; agreeing on requirements for the examination steering committee and communication regime.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa, Chairman of the Vinh Inter-School Council, noted a number of issues to the test site leaders and test supervisors such as: Retraining on test supervisory skills at test sites; assigning tasks to supervisor 1 and supervisor 2; thoroughly instructing all test supervisors not to carry mobile phones while on duty; and following the correct procedure for opening and distributing test papers.

In the second round, there are many exam blocks, in block D there are D1 (English); D2 (Russian), D3 (French), D4 (Chinese), D5 (German), D6 (Japanese), so the work of distributing and receiving exam papers must be really accurate to each exam room and to each candidate. This is an exam round with many exam blocks, many essay subjects, so it is necessary to tighten the inspection and supervision work, prevent from afar any negative factors that may occur, prevent from the outside the bringing of documents into the exam room; strengthen security work, exam protection...

Vinh Medical University, for the first time, organized the entrance exam under an independent council, with a large number of candidates (11,832 students). In order for the exam to take place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations, the school arranged 17 exam sites at schools with good facilities, ensuring enough light, fans, and fences; mobilized 812 exam supervisors who were lecturers of the school, colleges, and universities in the province and students with good skills.
