Invite the statue "Uncle Ho with children" to the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House
This morning (May 31), Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to invite the art statue "Uncle Ho with children" to the city's Children's House.
Attending the ceremony to invite the art statue "Uncle Ho with children" to the City Children's House were comrade Le Hong Anh, Politburo member, Standing member of the Central Party Secretariat; former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai; comrade Le Thanh Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and many officials and children of the city.

The art statue “Uncle Ho with children” was sculpted by artist Diep Minh Chau, who lived close to Uncle Ho for many years. This statue is made of red copper, weighs 9 tons, and is 3.3 meters high. Previously, the statue was placed in front of the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of the city.
The statue is placed on a square, ruby red stone block symbolizing strength and eternity. The entire campus of Ho Chi Minh City Children's House has been landscaped with an area of nearly 10,000m2, designed with many green areas including colorful flowers, fruit trees, and perennial trees to combine harmoniously.
After nearly eight months of implementation, the statue installation project has been completed. The invitation to Uncle Ho's statue to the Children's House fulfills the wishes and shows the city's people's infinite respect and gratitude for beloved Uncle Ho.
At the ceremony, Comrade Le Thanh Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee emphasized: “The Uncle Ho Monument is a symbol of the trust, love and respect of the city's people for Uncle Ho throughout the glorious revolutionary journey and forever. This is a cultural project, with profound political, historical and humanistic significance for the people of the South; it is a source of encouragement and motivation for the city's people to strive to build, protect and develop a civilized, modern and humane city”.
