The 'fratricidal' war of SLNA in the 2020 National U19 qualifying round

To prepare for the 2020 National U19 Qualifiers, the Board of Directors of Quang Nam Club asked SLNA for help in terms of personnel. After careful consideration, SLNA decided to send 4 players, Ho Xuan Nguyen, Dau Van Quan, Le Khanh Toan and Ngo Quang Thuan, to join Quang Nam U19 to prepare for the 2020 National U19 Qualifiers.

It is worth mentioning that at the time SLNA agreed to lend players to Quang Nam, U19 SLNA was not in the same group as U19 Quang Nam. While the young team from Nghe An was in group B with U19 Hue (host), U19 SHB Da Nang, U19 Nam Dinh and U19 Thanh Hoa, U19 Quang Nam was in group C with U19 HAGL (host), U19 Dak Lak, U19 Binh Dinh, U19 Phu Yen and U19 Khanh Hoa.

However, due to the sudden withdrawal of U19 Nam Dinh, Group B only had 4 teams left. Therefore, the Organizing Committee moved U19 Quang Nam from Group C to compete in Group B, replacing U19 Nam Dinh. Therefore, U19 SLNA and U19 Quang Nam had to be in the same group, forcing Ho Xuan Nguyen, Dau Van Quan, Le Khanh Toan, and Ngo Quang Thuan to face the situation of "brotherly killing" with Phan Ba ​​Quyen and his teammates, on the side of U19 SLNA.

Midfielder Ho Xuan Nguyen affirmed: “If coach Dang Duc Nhat (Quang Nam U19 coach - PV) puts us on the field in the match against SLNA U19, we will still play fairly and enthusiastically to bring the best results for the team. Simply put, once we are on the field, we have to fight with all our might, no matter who the opponent is. Our goal is to help Quang Nam U19 win a ticket to the final round.”

It is expected that the qualifying matches of the 2020 National U19 Championship will take place in early March at 5 host units: PVF Youth Football Training Center - Hung Yen (Group A), Hue (Group B), Gia Lai (Group C), Thong Nhat Sports Center - Ho Chi Minh City (Group D) and Thanh Long Sports Center - Ho Chi Minh City (Group E)
