Robbed a phone worth more than 2 million VND, sentenced to 45 months in prison

On the morning of November 28, the People's Court of Quynh Luu district held a criminal trial for the crime of "Robbery" against three subjects: Ho Khac Tuan, born in 1992, Trinh Ngoc Tuan Cuong, born in 1999, both in Phong Tien village, Tien Thuy commune, and Ho Ngoc Huy, born in 1994, in Phong Thai village, Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district.

According to the indictment of the Quynh Luu District Inspectorate: At 9:30 p.m. on July 27, 2017, Trinh Ngoc Tuan Cuong used a motorbike with license plate 37L1 - 463.21 to take Ho Khac Tuan and Ho Ngoc Huy out for a ride. When passing by Truong Khac Tuan's house in Nghia Phu village, Quynh Nghia commune, Quynh Luu district, he saw Truong Khac Huy (Tuan's son) holding a phone in his hand.

Tuan discussed with Huy and Cuong to snatch the phone. With Huy and Cuong's consent, Tuan directly approached Huy, snatched the phone and quickly got on a motorbike with Cuong and Huy to escape.

The phone was worth 2,150,000 VND at the time of appropriation. After robbing the phone, the subjects went to a phone shop and sold it to Mr. Vo Cao Phong, village 4, Quynh Ba commune, for 1,100,000 VND, then invited each other to Son Hai beach to eat and drink, spending 200,000 VND, the remaining amount was divided between the subjects, each person received 300,000 VND.

At the trial, the subjects admitted all their crimes. The Trial Council sentenced Ho Khac Tuan to 18 months in prison, Trinh Ngoc Tuan Cuong to 15 months in prison, Ho Ngoc Huy to 12 months in prison, and the time of punishment was calculated from the date of detention./.
