According to the Vietnam Coastal Information Station, on October 20, 21 and 22, search and rescue units rescued 45 Vietnamese fishermen and 3 Filipino crew members in distress at sea and brought them safely to shore.

Specifically, on the evening of October 21, ship BTR 92600 TS contacted the Ho Chi Minh City Coastal Information Station to report that fishing boat BTR 93285 TS was sunk by waves at the coordinates 07-16N 104-31E, about 71 nautical miles southwest of Hon Khoai (Ca Mau).MaleAt the time of the accident there were 6 fishermen on board.

After receiving information from the Vietnam Coastal Information System, regional and local search and rescue units and fishing vessels operating in the area coordinated to search for 6 fishermen of the BTR 93285 TS ship. At 9:20 p.m. on October 21, 6 fishermen of the BTR 93285 TS ship were safely rescued by the TG 92662 TS ship.

Previously, on October 20, the QNa 91468 TS ship had an engine failure and was drifting at coordinates 14-37N 110-55E, about 108 nautical miles from Quy Nhon. At the time of the accident, there were 39 fishermen on board. At 8:00 a.m. on October 22, the QNa 91468 TS ship was towed safely to Tam Giang port, Nui Thanh, Quang Nam.

Three Filipino crew members were adrift on three 3-meter long boats on October 20, at coordinates 09-03N 114-26E, in the Truong Sa archipelago area, and were rescued by ship BD 95724 TS at around 7:15 a.m. on October 22./.
