Former CIA expert makes surprising statement about Ukraine
(Baonghean.vn) - With the weather starting to get cold, the Ukrainian armed forces may not be able to withstand the Russian army, former CIA analyst Ray McGovern stated in an interview with the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
"I think the Russians can cross the Dnieper as soon as the frost starts, and that could happen in about a month. President Biden will have to admit his mistake: he said Moscow seemed to be losing, but in fact the Russians are winning," McGovern said. In his opinion, even if the new military aid package for Ukraine is approved by the US Congress, it will not be able to turn around the position of the Ukrainian armed forces. McGovern does not rule out the possibility that in the coming months, the Kiev government will suffer a complete defeat.

In addition, according to Mr. McGovern, "the Middle East has become the best excuse to divert international attention from what is happening in Ukraine." At the same time, the analyst noted that President Biden still expects Washington to win a war on two fronts. However, current developments in the former Soviet republic show that the US is currently losing on one front.
In a statement in favor of Russia, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijarto said that Budapest would not support Brussels' next round of sanctions against Moscow if they included measures targeting Russia's energy sector. According to Szijjarto, any restrictions on Russian energy would be against Hungary's national interests.
“Sanctions simply do not work. Sanctions may harm Russia… but they certainly cause greater harm to the European economy and to European countries. And if sanctions cause more harm to those who impose them than to those they target, what is the point of continuing to apply sanctions?” - the Hungarian Foreign Minister asked./.
