Previously, at 01:40 on October 12, Danang MRCC received information from ship BD 95032 TS with the following content: Ship BD 95032 TS is captained by Mr. Pham Ngoc Cong (born in 1979, residing in Hoai Nhon, Binh Dinh). On the way to shore, at 18:00 on October 11 at coordinates 16009'N - 108023E, the ship's main engine broke down due to water entering the engine room, which could not be repaired. At this time, the weather was bad, with heavy rain and wind, so the captain requested an urgent rescue.

Danang MRCC immediately reported the incident to Vietnam MRCC and proposed to dispatch SAR 274 for rescue. At 02:10 on October 12, SAR 274 left the port to rescue ship BD 95032 TS. At 03:25 on October 12, SAR 274 approached the ship in distress and provided health care to seven crew members and assisted in bringing ship BD 95032 TS safely to Danang MRCC wharf.
