Rescue 7 fishermen and fishing boat in distress at sea
(Baonghean.vn)- After 2 days drifting at sea, on the afternoon of April 27, the fishing boat with license plate NA 90202TS and 7 crew members, who are parishioners of Van Thai parish, were in distress at sea and were towed safely to shore by a ship of Squadron 2, Nghe An Border Guard.

Previously, at 10:30 a.m. on April 25, the wooden-hulled boat with license plate number NA 90202TS, captained by Tran Van Dang (born in 1977) and 7 crew members who are parishioners of Van Thai parish, in hamlet 9, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, was fishing at coordinates 19°05´N - 106º44´E, about 40 nautical miles east of Lach Quen, when its engine shaft broke beyond repair and needed urgent assistance.
Upon receiving the news, the Nghe An Border Guard directed the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station to contact nearby vessels for assistance, and at the same time mobilized the BP 06-13-01 ship, along with 15 officers and soldiers of Squadron 2 to go on the rescue. At 2:45 p.m. on April 27, the rescue ship towed the distressed ship to shore and handed it over to the local authorities of Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district.
