Former Arsenal youth team goalkeeper coach and former Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper, Jason Brown, did not attend the training session on the morning of October 4 with the Vietnam national team. Previously, coach Mai Duc Chung personally invited the former goalkeeper but in the end could not follow the plan.

In this morning's training session, one of the most anticipated things was the appearance of Jason Brown, former Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper, Arsenal youth team goalkeeper coach and currently on duty with the Vietnam U19 team. At the invitation of coach Mai Duc Chung, the 35-year-old star will join the training session with the Vietnam team to provide professional and mental support to the three goalkeepers Tuan Manh, Tien Dung, and Tuan Linh.

In recent times, the quality of goalkeepers at the national team level has been quite poor, even weak. Therefore, if directly trained by the Arsenal youth team goalkeeper coach, Vietnamese goalkeepers will learn a lot.

Coach Jason Brown was born in 1982 and spent his professional football career in the UK, and is the only goalkeeper to win the Welsh Young Player of the Year award. During his career, Jason Brown played for many different clubs, including Blackburn Rover in the Premier League, then Aberdeen FC, Ipswich Town FC, Cambridge United FC, Sutton United FC and Dartford FC.

Jason Brown was a Wales international from 2006 to 2012, so this goalkeeper coach was a teammate of Gareth Bale in the national team. After finishing his playing career, Jason Brown took coaching courses and moved on to coaching goalkeepers for the Wales youth team, Arsenal youth team and several other clubs.

Although he was awaited by the members of the Vietnam team, Jason Brown went back to the hotel because the U19 Vietnam team's training session ended early (9am). Afterwards, the former goalkeeper who played in the Premier League returned to the field to meet coach Mai Duc Chung, but did not accept the invitation because of his busy schedule with the U19 Vietnam team.

Previously, after two training sessions with U19 Vietnam, the former Premier League star gave a frank assessment of the level of Vietnamese goalkeepers: "Vietnamese goalkeepers are young and have good reflexes, but their basic skills are not good. If they overcome this weakness, they will become good goalkeepers."
