According to this news site, Ms. Yingluck and her 15-year-old son traveled by road to Cambodia on August 23. From there, she and her son took a plane to Singapore and then traveled by air to Dubai.

On the morning of August 25, the Supreme Court of Thailand issued an arrest warrant for Ms. Yingluck because she did not appear in court that morning, even though her lawyer had previously announced that the reason for her absence was an earache and asked for a postponement of the trial.

On the same day, the Thai Immigration Department said there was no record of her leaving the country. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has instructed the police to quickly verify information about Yingluck's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Thai Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwon said that the police will carry out the arrest mission under a court order and that if Yingluck managed to escape abroad, it would be thanks to the help of officials related to the former government.
