(Baonghean.vn) – After leaving SLNA to join Hapoel Club in Israel, striker Michael Olaha is facing many difficulties. That may be the reason why the Nigerian foreign player wants to return to the Nghe An team in the near future.

Joining SLNA since V.League 2017, young foreign player Michael Olaha has been a mainstay of the Nghe An team for 3 consecutive seasons, scoring a total of 18 goals in the V.League. In addition, he and his teammates at SLNA also won 1 National Cup championship.

After the end of V.League 2019, the Nigerian striker had to say goodbye to Vietnamese football on a free transfer to the new team Hapoel in Israel. Many other V.League teams were looking for him, and the foreign player born in 1996 himself also wanted to continue staying at SLNA.

However, in Israel, the former SLNA striker is facing many difficulties and cannot integrate with the new team. When the National Championship has ended with a total of 36 matches in the qualifying round and the championship round, Olaha only contributed 15 matches to the team's 5th place.

In 15 appearances, Michael Olaha started 9 times and was substituted 6 times. He did not score any goals and received 1 red card and 5 yellow cards. For a striker with expectations like Olaha, it was a bitter disappointment.

During his time in Israel, the former SLNA player still followed the matches of the Nghe An team, where his friend Peter Samuel was playing. According to the investigation of Nghe An Newspaper reporter, because of his poor performance at the new team as well as his salary cut, Michael Olaha is hoping to return to V.League to play for SLNA.

However, it is very difficult for Michael Olaha to return to Vietnam to play for SLNA at this time. The main reason is that due to the Covid-19 epidemic, entry is almost impossible. Accordingly, the additional registration period for the 2020 season is from July 21 to August 17. On the other hand, Olaha has also signed a long-term contract with the Israeli club.

If replacing foreign players, SLNA will likely have to find players currently playing in Vietnam to shorten the process and register in time for the return leg. Currently, foreign player Alagie Sosseh has not left any impression. If Olaha and Peter can reunite, that is the biggest wish of SLNA fans at this time.
