Relief of 1.5 tons of rice for households affected by tornado in Ky Son

(Baonghean.vn) - In less than 2 months (April and until mid-May), in Ky Son district, there were 5 tornadoes in 8 communes and towns including: Pha Danh, Keng Du, Na Loi, Ta Ca, Bac Ly, Bao Thang, Muong Tip, Muong Xen town, damaging 236 houses. Total estimated damage was 2.6 billion VND.

After the tornadoes occurred, Ky Son district directed the police, military, border guards... to go to the area to help people repair houses and schools, and at the same time organize inspection teams to accept the damage; for collapsed houses, each household was supported with 7 million VND. Recently, the district issued 1.5 tons of famine relief rice to households lacking food so that people could soon stabilize their lives.
