Local emergency relief for natural disasters

The Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee has provided emergency relief goods and essential supplies worth a total of VND420 million to Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh provinces. The relief goods include 500 boxes of household goods, 120,000 Aquatap disinfectant tablets, and VND110 million in cash to be distributed to people in flood-hit areas.

According to the plan, Thanh Hoa province will receive 200 boxes of household goods, 40,000 Aquatap disinfectant tablets, 50 million VND in cash; Nghe An province will receive 200 boxes of household goods, 40,000 Aquatap disinfectant tablets, 50 million VND and Ha Tinh province will receive 100 boxes of household goods, 40,000 Aquatap disinfectant tablets, 30 million VND.

Previously, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, Mr. Nguyen Hai Duong, sent his condolences to the families of victims in the landslide in La Pan Tan commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province and initially supported each family with a deceased person with 2 million VND, and each family with an injured person with 1 million VND.

Regarding the landslide at the lead-zinc mine in Mu Cang Chai district (Yen Bai) that left more than 20 people dead and missing, on September 9,Prime Minister Nguyen Tan DungSending condolences to the families of those killed, missing and injured.

To urgently overcome the consequences and help people stabilize their lives soon, the Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Yen Bai province to coordinate with the National Committee for Search and Rescue and the Northwest Steering Committee to continue implementing measures to search for victims, treat the injured, bury the dead and visit and support families of the dead, missing and injured.
