Covid-19 test results of more than 6,200 people in Nghe An are available

According to the report of Nghe An Department of Health, as of the morning of April 16, there were 7,052 cases in the province that had been sampled for Covid-19 testing. Most of these were citizens returning from Laos and Thailand who were quarantined at facilities and citizens returning from the Bach Mai Hospital outbreak.

6,274 of these people have now tested negative for Covid-19. There are 778 cases awaiting results, expected today.

To date, Nghe An has only 427 people in quarantine and monitoring for epidemic prevention, a decrease of 243 cases compared to 1 day ago. Of these, 35 cases are quarantined at home; 25 cases are quarantined at the district level; 333 cases are quarantined at the provincial level and 34 cases are quarantined and treated at the hospital.

Meanwhile, in recent days, Nghe An has had almost no more citizens returning from abroad to be taken to centralized quarantine areas.

"All figures are showing positive signs. Yesterday alone, Nghe An received test results from more than 1,500 people, all of whom were negative. Currently, we have basically completed the sampling of citizens returning from abroad who are quarantined in the province and those returning from domestic epidemic areas. Today, we continue to collect samples from functional forces on duty in quarantine areas," Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control shared with reporters of Nghe An Newspaper.

On April 16 alone, 251 people were awarded certificates of completion of 14 days of centralized quarantine at the provincial level to return to their localities.

In addition, out of nearly 1,000 citizens who came to Bach Mai Hospital for examination and treatment during the epidemic, Nghe An now has only 28 cases that are being isolated and monitored. Of these, 12 are isolated at home, 4 are isolated at the district level, and 12 are being isolated and treated at the hospital.

To date, Nghe An has not recorded any positive cases of Covid-19. However, in a meeting on the afternoon of April 15, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc classified Nghe An and 14 other provinces and cities into the "risk" group.

This is the group that the Prime Minister requested to implement Directive 15 combined with Directive 16 until April 22. The next decision will be made on April 22, depending on the epidemic situation.
