34 bodies found in AirAsia plane crash
Indonesian authorities have found three more bodies of victims of AirAsia flight QZ8501 that crashed on December 28.
Thus, as of the afternoon of January 4, the number of bodies found was 34 out of a total of 162 people on this flight.

According to local officials, a US Navy SH-60 Seahawk helicopter transported the bodies from the US destroyer USS Sampsons to the Indonesian rescue headquarters on Pangkalan Bun Island. The bodies were found by a Japanese search ship 108 nautical miles from the headquarters.
After receiving the bodies, soldiers and staff from the Indonesian Search and Rescue Agency will transfer the three bodies to the Imanuddin National Hospital for initial identification. Further identification will be conducted in Surabaya before the bodies are handed over to their families.
AirAsia's Airbus A320-200, flight number QZ8501, carrying 162 passengers and crew, crashed into the Java Sea, Indonesia, while en route from Surabaya to Singapore on the morning of December 28.
The passengers on the flight included 149 Indonesians, three South Koreans, one Singaporean, one Malaysian and one British national. The crew included six Indonesians and one French./.
